Wayne Smith was born in London, England and has been a transnational citizen, whom is currently residing in the United States.
Wayne received his bachelor's degree from Augustana University in 1996 and his Masters in counseling (agency and community settings specialties) from South Dakota State University in 2008. Wayne's past credentials include being certified in the Boys Town "Common Sense Parenting" Program. He was also a Certified Chemical Dependency Trainee Counselor and was a certified trainer in Life Space Crisis Intervention.

Wayne's past and on-going experience includes being a Director at the Abbott House in Mitchell, SD and a Therapist at Volunteers of America, Carroll Institute, and Stronghold Counseling all located in Sioux Falls, SD. Wayne Worked with the Family Immersion Program within the Sioux Falls School District located in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. He also worked at the Minnehaha County Detention Center and the Sioux Falls Police Reserve. Wayne Smith is a USA Basketball Licensed Coach with a NCAA certification. Wayne is an AAU/PCA Certified Basketball Coach. Wayne is also a Certified High School Heads Up Football Coach through the National Federation of State High School Association. Wayne is also an Accredited and Certified Interscholastic Coach with a basketball emphasis through the National Federation of State High School Association. Wayne is a current member of the NABC. He and his wife, Kristi, are currently Head Coaches of two organizations, Sanford Sports Basketball U16 and Smith Skills Basketball.
